DONALD D. DIMENT, JR. founded the law firm of Diment, Jagger & Billings in 1975 which in 1993 became Diment Law Office. Donald D. Diment, Jr. retired from practice at the end of 2018, after over 50 years as an attorney in Lane County, Oregon.
About Donald
Donald graduated from Portland State College with a BS in Business Administration in 1965. He went on to law school at Willamette University College of Law and received his JD in 1968. Shortly after Don received his law degree, he law clerked for the Honorable Edward H. Howell, Oregon State Tax Court, in 1968. He then went into private practice at the Luvaas Cobb Richards & Fraser law firm in Eugene, Oregon from 1969 to 1971. Don then worked as a deputy district attorney for the Lane County District Attorney’s Office in November, 1971 to July, 1975. Having worked as a deputy district attorney for a few years, Don decided to again go into private practice. In 1975, Don founded the law firm of Diment, Jagger & Billings, which in 1993 became Diment Law Office. He was with Diment Law Office from 1975 to 2018, with years of experience in general trial practice, emphasizing in family law and criminal defense cases.
A few of Don’s distinctions and honors include receiving the Lane County Bar Association Joseph M. Kosydar Professionalism Award; he’s been listed in the publication of Best Lawyers in America; he’s listed in the Super Lawyers publication; and in Martindale-Hubbell, Don is listed as an AV-preeminent rated attorney. Since August, 2010, Don has been an assistant Municipal Court Judge for the City of Eugene. Don is currently a member of the Oregon State Bar and the Lane County Bar Association. Don was recently recognized, among other members of the bar, for 50 years of law practice.
